Goal(s)
The objective of the course is to provide a comprehensive, systemic vision of socio-ecological issues from a historical perspective. At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Describe the current state of the Earth system in relation to the overcoming of planetary boundaries
- Analyze its compatibility with Western lifestyles (consumption and production)
- Explain the concept of the Anthropocene with a critical eye and propose alternatives
- Present the World 3 model and analyze the trajectories proposed by this model
- State the different energy/climate scenarios
- Conduct a Carbon Footprint
