Goal(s)
Understand the basic relationships for analyzing non-isolated power converters
Use these relationships to identify the waveforms of choppers and single-phase diode rectifiers
Be able to calculate the values of passive L and C components based on simple specifications
Responsible(s)
Content(s)
Fundamentals of power electronics: principles of switching electronics, source combination laws, power switches
Series and parallel choppers, applications in photovoltaics
2- and 4-quadrant choppers
Diode rectifiers, power calculations under nonlinear conditions
Electric circuits, Kirchhoff's laws
Calculations of instantaneous power, rms values, average values...
Test
Session normale / First session
Examen terminal (ET1) / Final examination : devoir surveillé écrit de 1h / 1 hour supervised written exam (exemple)
Contrôle continu (CC1) / continuous assessment : interrogations écrites + compte-rendu BE et/ou TD / written tests + labworks reports and/or exercises reports
---------------
Session de rattrapage / 2nd session
ET2 : la note obtenue en session 2 remplace la note ER session 1 / new examination to replace ER assessment
CC2 : évaluation non rattrapable / retaking EN assessment is not possible
