Mission to Cambodia 2025

Karine Buguet and Raphael Caire traveled to Phnom Penh from 22 to 30 March as part of the ‘Grid Modernization on Transmission and Distribution System Project’, a research and training project supported by the Agence Française de Développement.
During this academic visit, Raphael Caire, Senior Lecturer at Grenoble INP - Ense³ and researcher at G2Elab, gave lectures to Master's and Doctorate students, as well as to teachers at the Institut of Technology of Cambodia (ITC). Alongside Karine Buguet, the Senior International Relations Officer, he then conducted interviews for admission to the M2 Smart Grids & Buildings master's programme and for an internship at G2ELAB.

In addition to teaching and interviews, institutional meetings with academic partners from the Institut de Technologie du Cambodge (ITC) and the Institute of Electrical Sciences (IES) helped to strengthen relations and consolidate collaborations between the two institutions. The mission also provided an opportunity to visit technical facilities such as the Kampot electricity substation (230 kV) and the Kamchay hydroelectric power station (194 MW), one of the largest in the country.
