Goal(s)
A DC-DC converter for an automotive application is studied and then a physical prototype is built.
Pierre LEFRANC
Content(s)
This project premits the students to apply skills on power electronics for the design of a real converter.
The study of the converter begins with the design of capacitors and the inductance of the DC-DC converter and the choice of the PWM circuit. Heat-sinks and EMI problems are taken into account in the design process.
After the design step, the students make the layout and the physical prototype is tested: measurements are made to estimate the electrical constraints and the efficiency of the prototype.
