Goals
To prepare students for current and future nuclear issues:
fuel cycle (especially nuclear waste management),
new reactors (EPR reactor, on-board nuclear reactors, breeder reactors / Gen IV reactors, ITER),
Dismantlement / decommissioning of nuclear plants and nuclear power stations,
Advanced digital supervision (ADACS Software).
Content Processes involved in upstream / downstream fuel cycle (extraction, PUREX vitrification ...), Modern techniques developed in decommissioning. Digital learning sessions on ADACS supervision software
Series of lectures on future nuclear reactors (embedded reactor EPR MSFR, ITER) and learning groups formed around Gen III or IV reactors
PrerequisitesBasic background in mechanics, nuclear physics, nuclear safety
Tests Session normale / First session
Evaluation rattrapable (ER) / ER assessment : devoir surveillé écrit de 3h / 3 hours supervised written exam
Evaluation non rattrapable (EN) / EN assessment : 3H oral evaluation + report
Si situation 100% distancielle / If distant learning mandatory:
Evaluation rattrapable (ER) / ER assessment : 3h d'examen écrit à distance / 3 hours homework
Evaluation non rattrapable (EN) / EN assessment : 3H 3H oral evaluation + report
