Goal(s)
The aim of the courses is to provide deeper analysis of fluid mechanics. It is expected that with this courses the governing equations of fluid dynamic will be acquired. A particular focus will be done on the physical analysis of typical flow configurations found in industrial applications (wall bounded flows, turbulent flows, incompressible and compressible flows, ...).The aim of these courses will be also to better know modeling tools allowing to analyze such flows.

Content(s)
Governing equations will be first derived. Vortices dynamic and flow behavior close to a wall (boundary layer flows) will be detailed. Specificity of turbulent flows will be then evoked and various modeling approaches to predict turbulent flow will be presented. Finally, compressible flows will be discussed with specific focus on quasi-1D nozzle.
PrerequisitesBasic on fluid dynamic and continuum mechanics
Session normale / First session
Evaluation non rattrapable (EN) / EN assessment : TP / Lab work
Evaluation rattrapable (ER)/ ER assessment : épreuve écrite de 4h / 4h written exam
Session de rattrapage / Second session
La note obtenue remplace la note de ER. Le EN n'est pas rattrapable. / The new mark will replace the first one (ER). No retake for EN.
EN 40% + ER 60%
