Goal(s)

The purpose of this course is to provide theoretical and practical foundations for the inclusion of digital aspects in:

  • the analysis and processing of measured signals,
  • the design and implementation of electronic systems.

At the end of this course, students/apprentices will be able to:

  • model an acquisition chain
  • design and build an electronic circuit to meet specifications
  • analyze the frequency content of a deterministic digital signal using DFT
  • characterize a given digital filter
  • design and implement a FIR or IIR digital filter meeting the required specifications

Responsible(s)

Pierre GRANJON

Content(s)

Design and implementation of electronic systems

  • electronic circuit diagram design
  • prototyping
  • printed circuit board design, producing and testing
  • performance analysis

Digital signal processing

  • frequency representations (FT, DFT, ZT)
    application: spectral analysis with DFT
  • linear and time invariant transforms
    application: digital filtering

Prerequisites

3EUS1MAT Mathematics for Engineers, 3EUS2CTI Sensors and Signal Processing, 3EU2APP6 Cours d'approfondissement orientés filières

Test

First session
ET= 50% 2h individual written exam [TNS] + 50% 1h individual exam on machine [TNS]
CC= CC assessment: 1 group project [CERCE]

Second session
ET: new examination to replace ET assessment
CC: CC assessment is not possible

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

If remote teaching is mandatory:
First session
ET= 1h individual remote MCQ / written exam [TNS] + 1h individual remote machine exam [TNS]
CC= 1 group project [CERCE ; simulations only, if enough face-to-face sessions are done at the beginning of the cycle].

Second session
ET: new examination to replace ER or CT assessment
CC : retaking EN or CC assessment is not possible

CC 50% + ET 50 %
