Goals
This module aims to explore different production technologies of renewable energy (tidal, wind, solar) and their integration into a local network (micro-network, islanded network or distribution network).
After a state of the art, this module offers a part focused on the technologies at stake to go up to their connection to the local network and the control of their renewable production. The goal is energy self-sufficient neighborhoods, cities or territories.
Regarding the skills learned in this course. First, up to date knowledge of the maturity levels of different renewable technologies is provided. Second, a renewable project development associated with their techno-economic criterias is proposed. Finally, the ability to identify and meet the challenges of connecting the renewable means of production to a local network in view of its energy automonie (through sizing and control) is presented.
