Goals

Allow the students to acquire the basics of functioning of the electrical networks and to introduce its operation in unbalanced mode including the faulty conditions

Content

  • Introduction to electrical networks basics
  • The major technological choices
  • The basic components of an electrical network
  • Analytical methods for the treatment of imbalances in power grids
  • Models of power lines
  • Calculation of short circuit currents
  • Determination of sequence networks for calculating short-circuit currents in complex networks

Prerequisites

Electrotechnical basics (electrical machines, transformers, ...)

Written exam

CC 50% + CT 50%
