Goals

This course aims to introduce the process of industrial products designing.
This course also aims to provide an introduction on the "technical drawing", as a tool for communication, and to introduce Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Content

Course:

  • Introduction to the design process ;
  • Functional analysis element ;
  • Kinematic mapping
  • Introduction to functional dimensioning.

Worshops :

  • Analysis of industrial products such as refrigeration compressor, food processor ... Operating principle, kinematic analysis, characteristics study .
  • Introduction to the use of solid modeling software (CATIA) and Computer Aided Design, work on modes of representation and numerical models.

Physics course

Tests

Continuous assessment:

  • Report and presentation on studies of mechanisms ;
  • Evaluation of the use of CATIA.
