Optimal Dispatchnig/Planing for production plant (GEN)

Informations générales

  • ECTS

    ECTS 1

Goal(s)

To acquire basic concepts of the power plant availabilities for electrical production and use for creating production schedule, taking into account the constraints of availability of the power stations (cycles of maintenance), shortages of production with respect to the energy markets and dynamic capacities of the power stations (participation in the ancillary services for the power system).

Content(s)

These discovery course proposes various aspects of the management and the planning of nuclear power plants, taking into account its intrinsic constraints. It approaches, among others, the following aspects:
- The creation of production schedule taking into account the availability need with respect to a energetic national mix,
- The sale of energy on the markets or via bilateral transactions or market actors,
- Legal engagements of the power stations with respect to the safety of the system: the ancillary services which can required large amount of power reserves (high dynamics).
