Goal(s)

NOTE :
this course will be given after the course entitle "CFD code training"

Introduction to the power transmission systems using a fluid (oil) under pressure (oil hydraulics)

Description of the various components of power transmission chains

Use in (mainly) all-or-nothing circuit

Introduction to the simulation of these systems

Teamwork in the frame of workshop (BE) activities

Content(s)

1. Lecture : 12 hours
Study of the components involved in these transmission systems.
Hydraulic fluids. Volumetric machines (pumps and engines)
Jacks (linear and rotary). Accumulators. Distribution. Valves (control of pressure and flowrate). Reservoirs.

2. Workshops (BE) : 12 hours
Study of circuits. Introduction to the simulation of circuits and components.

3. case study : 4 hours of exercises (TD)
Pollution and filtration (speaker from industry)

Prerequisites :
Knowlegde of elementary technological functions : guidance in rotation...
General mechanics (kinematics, dynamics)
Fluid mechanics (head losses...)
