To apprehend the notions of strain and stress through numerical simulations and physical experiments.
To apprehend the methods of strain measurement
Content(s)
Development and/or use of a lattice computation code – Application to nanotubelike structures – Determinaton of the equivalent strain and stress in these structures.
Lab strain measurements with the possible use of image correlation methods.
