Hydraulique pour les procédés avancés (Filière : ME)

Informations générales

  • ECTS

    ECTS 1.5

Goal(s)

To bring basic knowledge of non-newtonian fluid mechanics and their application to the most common industrial processes. To present the most common industrial fluids as well as the mathematical models usually used to represent their behaviour under flow. To be able to use the basic equations of fluid mechanics and hydraulics as well as the adequate non-dimensional numbers on practical applications of industry.

Content(s)

Lecture : 18H
1. Reminder of newtonian fluid mechannics and rheology.
2. Laminar flows in circular pipes (pressure loss and velocity profiles)
3. Laminar flows in non-circular pipes.
4. Transition to turbulence and turbulent flows.
5. Instabilities in singularities (static and mobile rigid zones, recirculations).
6. Flows of suspensions .
