Goals

This course aims to provide the skills required to model, design, monitor and diagnose system conversion and energy storage (electricity and hydrogen vectors).
Mastery equivalent electrical models, architecture control systems of electronic power interfaces and the impact of different sources of distributed generation on power systems

Content

  • Wind & hydrolien
    o Nature of the winds.
    o Assessment of wind resources.
    o How a turbine.
    o The different structures of wind generators.
    o Wind farms.
    o Integration into networks
  • Design and Energy Management Storage Systems
    o Modeling systems conversion and storage
    o Designing storage systems of electric power
    o Design of a power conversion system incorporating elements of electrochemical storage
    o Energy Management Energy System (EMS, BMS)
  • Decentralized Energy Production (BE)
    o Design of a hydrolien power generation
    o Participation of wind energy systems to control voltage electrical networks
    o Generating electricity from PEM fuel cells
    o Systems energy storage and sharing power exchanges with the network
    o Production of photovoltaic power
    o Modeling of electrochemical energy storage
    o Modeling and Optimization of distributed generation

  • Specific credits: this course brings 6.0 ECTS to students in Year 2 Master ENTECH (M2 ENTECH)
