Number of hours
- Lectures 16.0
- Tutorials 4.0
ECTS
ECTS 1.25
Goal(s)
- Understanding the water and pollution process transfer on the urbanised basins
- Sizing the sanitation network and the related works
- Diagnosing the network operation in particular during rainy weather
- Developping strategies in terms of network planning and management to limit the defects and impacts on the external environment
Content(s)
COURS :
1) Hydrology and urban hydraulics
(i) storm project, (ii) rain-flow transformations, (iii) sizing of the network and the retention basins, (iv) rain water pollution and alternative techniques
2) Dynamic modeling of the networks : equations of Barré de Saint-Venant in an urban context. this later part is not overdevelopped as the resolution of Barré de Saint-Venant are seen in détail in another course.
Supervised tutorials:
- sizing a rainy network by the Caquot method: project flow, sizing pipes and water line evaluation
Corrected tutorials available online:
- Storm project calculation
- application on the linear tank model for the rain-flow transformation
- sizing of a retention basin
