  • Provide tools allowing the pollutant transfer in the soils to be apprehended and the polluted areas to be treated.
  • Conceive the surface storing centers (household waste) or in depth (radioactive waste, CO2...)

Content

Contaminant transport in the underground waters (20h of course + 4h of practical works)

  • principal process: groundwater flows, solute transport, multiphase flows.
  • Analytical solutions and numerical modeling
  • Case study on a MUDFLOW calculation code of contaminant transport.
  • Practical Works Session

Environmental geotechnics (28h)
Specific recognitions. Surface waste storing. Stockage des déchets en profondeur: thermo-hydro-mechanical behavior of rocky joints and technical solutions. Techniques of soil depollution.

Unsaturated soil behavior (8h)
