Goal(s)
This course aims to introduce the process of industrial products designing.
This course also aims to provide an introduction on the "technical drawing", as a tool for communication, and to introduce Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Content(s)
Course:
- Introduction to the design process ;
- Functional analysis element ;
- Kinematic mapping
- Introduction to functional dimensioning.
Worshops :
- Analysis of industrial products such as refrigeration compressor, food processor ... Operating principle, kinematic analysis, characteristics study .
- Introduction to the use of solid modeling software (CATIA) and Computer Aided Design, work on modes of representation and numerical models.

Continuous assessment:
- Report and presentation on studies of mechanisms ;
- Evaluation of the use of CATIA.
