Hackathon - HackTogether#2

Grenoble INP - Ense³ and EDF give you the opportunity to take part to Hacktogether#2 with 2 challenges.

Team spirit, synergy and creativity are keys to success and unleash creative ideas.

EDF propose two work-related topics, allowing students to work with real datas with a common goal : security.

Investigation in a hydroelectric power station

Context : A thermal drift is observed on the metal of the shaft (supporting the weight of the turbine blade and the alternator - 300 t). Metal used is melting or losing efficiency above 200°C. Protections are activated when temperatures reach 95°C.

Goal : Find the culprit explaining the thermal drift of a hydropower station unit using AI ?

Skills we are looking for

  • Hydropower : components of a power station
  • Applied mathematics
  • Liking for AI
  • Team spirit, tenacity, openness

Detection of any interventions on the river, with a focus on securing

Context : Contracts about works operated in the river beds emerged from a complex process, time-consuming for everyone, repetitive and tedious. Anyway, those agreements are a very important issue for security of property and person. Main concerns appear for the operators who should be able to integrate those information in their support tools.

Goal : How to improve, facilitate and secure data exchange between operators of the river, authorities in charge of water pipelines and EDF supervision center ?

Skills we are looking for

  • Creativity
  • Team spirit, openness, curiosity, tenacity
  • Liking for apps and digital sciences
