General introduction: water quality measure parameters.
Chapter 1: Treatments of the TSS by settling
Chapter 2: Sand filtration
Chapter 3: Disinfection (Chlorination, Ozonation, UV)
Chapter 4: Water calcium-carbonate balance. Agressive and encrusting water treatment
Chapter 5: Membranes (microfiltration, ultra and nano filtration, reverse osmosis)
Chapter 6: Ion exchange resins

PW (4h): Study of a settling pilot
Travail personnel : polycopié d'exercices corrigés



Prerequisites

This teaching is self-consistent. Some elementary bases concerning the water physico-chemical will be reminded during the course.
