Goals

The purpose of this module is to provide theoretical and practical foundations for the inclusion of digital aspects in:

  • the analysis and processing of measured signals,
  • the design and implementation of electronic systems.

Content

Design and implementation of electronic systems

  • electronic circuit diagram design
  • prototyping
  • printed circuit board design, producing and testing
  • performance analysis

Digital signal processing

  • frequency representations (FT, DFT, ZT)
    application ? spectral analysis with DFT
  • linear and time invariant transforms
    application ? digital filtering
  • multirate systems
    application ? changing the sampling rate

Prerequisites

Mathematics for engineers: complex variable functions, Fourier transform, Laplace transform, Z transform.
Basics in continuous-time signal processing: deterministic and random signals, time domain and frequency domain representations, linear and time-invariant filers, sampling.

Tests

M1 = 100% written exam
M2 = 70% labworks + 30% labwork exam
final mark = 30%M1 + 70%M2

second session : written exam, replace M1 obtained in first session

CC 70 % + CT 30%
